How Linda's "You Gotta Eat!" blog became a book:

Linda's friends and family have often sought her advice regarding their health and nutrition concerns.  She has always appreciated their inquiries and requests for guidance in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, and enjoyed educating them in ways to improve their overall health.  Unfortunately, these "teachable moment" opportunities were primarily limited to random meetings or social engagements.

Since Linda took pleasure in helping her closest friends meet their individual health goals, she desired to create opportunities to assist more people in her social network interested in improving their lifestyle.  In January 2010, realizing most people make New Year's resolutions centered on healthier habits, she extended an invitation to all her "friends" online: they could pick her brain for answers to any and all nutrition and exercise related questions.  In just a few days time, a deluge of sensible and pertinent questions came flooding her way.   Questions continued to roll in as Linda's friends and acquaintances came to realize the significant value of her efforts.   The volume of requests was so large that she decided to initiate a blog to more efficiently reach her new audience.  Linda spent the next year responding to these inquiries and enjoyed every minute of it.

The blog archives essentially evolved into a catch-all wellness manual, covering a wide range of topics related to living a healthy lifestyle.  Its style and content morphed effortlessly into a printed book, and was published in August 2011 under the title, "You Gotta Eat!  A Dietitian's Common Sense Approach to Facing Life's Health and Nutrition Challenges."  Every topic addressed in the book is in direct response to a specific question received from one or several of Linda's friends.  She is hoping to educate (and perhaps entertain) others as much as she has her family and friends.  ENJOY!
